Personal Information Provided by You

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when registering at the Services, expressing an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and services, or otherwise contacting us. This includes:

  • Account Data: Email address, secure password, Name, Phone Number, and Profile Image.
  • Authentication Data: We support Google Sign-In, which securely provides us with necessary authentication data (such as your Google ID token, email, and basic profile info) via the official Google Sign-In SDK.

Financial and Group Activity

To provide our expense-splitting services, we collect data regarding your groups and expenses, including:

  • Group names and categories (e.g., Trip, Home, Office).
  • Expense details, amounts, categories, and descriptions.
  • Information about who you split expenses with (Split Type) and who paid.
  • Settlement requests and recorded payments between group members.

Device and Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This includes:

  • Push Notifications (FCM): We collect and store your device's Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to send you event-driven push notifications (e.g., new expenses, balance changes, settlements).
  • Log and Usage Data: Service-related, diagnostic, usage, and performance information our servers automatically collect when you access or use our Services.

3. How We Use Your Information

We process your information for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the fulfillment of our contract with you, compliance with our legal obligations, and/or your consent. Specifically, we use your data to:

  • Facilitate Account Creation and Logon Process: Including Email/Password login and Google Sign-In integrations.
  • Provide the Core Service: Calculate group balances, track expenses, record settlements, and maintain the global activity feed.
  • Send Administrative Information: Send you OTPs for email verification, password recovery links, and transactional push notifications for group and expense activities.
  • Deliver Targeted Advertising: We use Google AdMob to serve adaptive banner ads, medium rectangle ads, and interstitial ads. AdMob may collect and use device identifiers to provide targeted advertisements.

4. Sharing Your Information

We only share information with the following third parties or under the following circumstances:

  • Other Users: Your profile details (Name, Profile Image) and expense activity are visible to other members within the groups you join or create, as well as friends you add.
  • Third-Party Service Providers: We share data with trusted third parties to perform services on our behalf:
    • Google (Firebase & Google Cloud): For authentication (Google Sign-in) and push notifications (FCM).
    • Google AdMob: For monetization and displaying advertisements.
  • Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.

5. Security of Your Information

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process, including secure password handling and OTP verification. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Account Information: You can review and update your profile details (Name, Phone Number, Profile Image) at any time within the app.
  • Account Deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated data. To delete your account, please email jblaheri@gmail.com or tusharvaghasiya369@gmail.com from your registered email address.
  • Advertising Preferences: You can manage your advertising preferences through your device settings (e.g., opting out of ad personalization on Android or iOS).
